Investors looking for the complete package are now turning to Phuket in Thailand, an island offering both affordability and accessibility along with the idyllic lifestyle. Since 2004, Europeans have been the third largest buyer group looking to the island although this increased investment activity means that prices have rocketed.
Most agents in Phuket now quote sea view properties in excess of US$1 million, however those in the east coast are still catching up with those on the more popular west coast and prices still average out at around 40 per cent less.
